I took the time today to do my damnedest to get a BBS on my birthday. After three passes I think this is as close as I will ever get to a BBS shave. WTG+XTG+ATG with the EJ DE89 in my collection.

Not a single nick today on this shave as I took my time for my birthday shave. This is also my first in a while nick-free as I get used to the DE89 and my first few uses of the ultra sharp Feather Blade.

A DFS in three passes, WTG/XTG/ATG.

First two passes gave a really good shave, with the bucket loads of lather left over, I went for a final pass ATG. Made the really good shave into a DFS and almost BBS.

A nice two & half pass shave. Initially WTG for the whole face, had a slight nick. Second pass XTG with a second nick. Finally ATG on the cheeks only for a close finish. Finished up with the alum block to finalise the shave.

Loving the $2.80 bowl I picked up at the variety store the other week to use as my shaving bowl. It allows me create lots of lather to comfort the razor for each pass.
