The day started with an early morning alarm (at 4:30am). Now who’s idea was this to get up and going so early? We dragged ourselves out of bed, and did our standard morning routine to get ourselves ready followed by getting the kids ready. We were heading out the door around 5:15am and on the road shortly after. Luckily for us, the kids went back to sleep while we powered up the road to start our massive day of caching.
We made it to the coast just before 7:00am, the roads were relatively quiet given the hour, but we were soon on the hunt for the geocaches. Luckily I had solved them all previously so they were all “park-n-grab” caches that were easy enough to find once we had got our heads around how they were generally hidden.
A few of the geocaches had us scratching our heads when we first pulled up, but letting the GPS settle down usually led us in the correct direction and put us right over the cache in question.
There were also a few interesting hide locations that we came across on the day.
Here are just a few of our photos from the day showing some interesting hide locations and views from our day out and about.
